Shawn Tavernier is an Ottawa-based singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his long-standing residency at the Highlander Pub, where he’s been performing for over 16 years. Blending folk, rock, country, and roots influences, he delivers high-energy yet intimate performances, often alongside guitarist Nick Gauthier, with a shared repertoire of hundreds of songs. A full-time musician, Tavernier plays multiple weekly gigs across the city, DJs, and has spent over a decade contributing to Ottawa Bluesfest’s educational programs, inspiring young musicians through initiatives like Blues in the Schools. He is also a founding member of the band Silver Creek, where he channels his passion for loud, full-throttle rock ’n’ roll.
